Job Description:
Maintain vehicles in a clean, organized and safe manner; Complete pre and post trip inspections on vehicles to ensure that all DOT standards are met, such as air brakes, oil, water, tire inflation, proper lighting, permits, safety kit, log book updated, etc.; Perform maintenance on Redi-Mix trucks, Dump trucks and other equipment as required; Process required paperwork throughout the day (time reporting, truck reports, trip tickets); Visually inspect concrete mix for proper materials, verify load size to ticket, check for proper slump and adjust accordingly; Deliver concrete using the most efficient route as directed by Foreman or Plant Manager; Must wash out box/drum, fuel truck, clean truck and perform required box/drum "chipping"; Wear appropriate personal protection equipment when necessary; Record any maintenance issues in truck log book and ensure supervisor is aware of any maintenance issues that would inhibit work production or create safety concerns; Cross-train with applicable positions; follow all company policies and state or federal laws. Consent to authorization of pre- employment work screen; Must be able to pass a drug test; Consent to authorization of pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request; Must have a Class A or B CDL or equivalent or be able to obtain within 30 days; Mechanical background and skills; Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal; Basic mathematical skills (i.e. Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide); Possess excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms. Physical Requirements include, but are not limited to reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, lifting and carrying over 50 pounds, squatting, kneeling, climbing, etc. Must be able to pass a drug test; Consent to authorization of pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request; Must have a Class A or B CDL or equivalent or be able to obtain within 30 days; Mechanical background and skills; Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal; Basic mathematical skills (i.e. Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide); Possess excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms. Physical Requirements include, but are not limited to: reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, lifting and carrying over 50 pounds, squatting, kneeling, climbing, etc. Require 6 months of truck driving experience. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Wages will be paid bi-weekly. All deductions from the worker?s paycheck required by law will be made. Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment to perform the job.
Possible weekly hours: 50+ hours/week.
Work Schedule: 6am-6pm, M-F
Possible weekend /holiday work.
Employer will comply w/applicable Federal, State, local laws pertaining to OT. Employer will pay $24.10/hr ($36.15/hr Overtime) for work performed in New Hampton, IA, Northern Iowa, Eastern Iowa, Southern Iowa and South and Southeast Minnesota. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in first workweek for all visas, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including mandated by the government (excl. passport fees). If worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from place of recruitment to place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide/pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation & subsistence. Free local housing will be provided. When the employee is 60 miles or further away from local housing, a $40 per day per diem will be given to the employee to cover food and hotel expenses. Travel will be reimbursed for meals and lodging for $12.26 per day up to $51.00 per day with receipts. On the job training will not be provided. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workday in each 12-week period of the total employment period.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
