Quality Control Technician

Job Description
Reports to: Quality Control Supervisor
Job Summary: The Quality Control Technician is responsible for adherence to and compliance with our client product specifications. Monitors food safety and enforces GMPs.
Work Schedule & Environment: Day shift employees punch in ready to work at 6:00 am and their shift ends at 6:00 pm. Night shift employees punch in ready to work at 6:00 pm and their shift ends at 6:00 am. Employees are regularly scheduled to work 7 shifts out of every 14-day pay period, with three shifts in one week and 4 shifts in the other. Will regularly work half the weekends of the year. Actual work schedule is a predictable, repeating, 6-week cycle that is published up to 12 months in advance and available for preview. Holidays are sometimes worked. Some voluntary and mandatory overtime shifts are commonly available. Paid breaks total 60 minutes per 12-hour shift. The Quality Control offices and lab are located on the main floor of the main plaint.
Essential
Qualifications:
- Must pass a timed basic math skills test without the aid of a calculator.
- One year work experience with food.
- PC proficiency.
- Must be able to tolerate the above-listed physical and environmental demands of this position with or without accommodations.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.

- Related AA degree.
- Work experience in laboratory environment.
- Work experience with SQF or other formalized quality programs.
- Strongly prefer a stable employment history with at least 2 years of continuous employment at one employer within the last 5 years.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
Requirements
Essential
Job Functions:
- Responsible for the identification and isolation of non-conforming materials as well as issuing hold orders as appropriate.
- Monitor and enforce company and government regulations pertaining to Good Manufacturing Practices and sanitation requirements.
- Perform and document daily GMP inspections.
- Perform and document sensory evaluation.
- Assist in gathering and cataloging incoming raw ingredients samples.
- Support established pest control program.
- Assist in compiling quality and statistical data.
- Responsible for laboratory equipment calibrations.
- Gather and assess quality and statistical data through multiple software applications including Syspro, Bar-coding, and LIMS database as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
